Analisis Sintaksis Kalimat Pertama

Kalimat pertama merupakan kalimat yang dibentuk dengan kontruksi kalimat P + O yaitu terdapat pada larik pertama langdong hondoron gumba. Larik pertama ini terdiri atas tiga kata dan tujuh suku kata. Langdong hondoron menempati sebagai fungsi predikat yang berkategori frasa verba dan mempunyai peran sebagai perbuatan. Sedangkan Gumba menempati sebagai fungsi objek yang berkategori kata benda (nomina) dan mempunyai peran sebagai penderita. Untuk lebih jelasnya, berikut analisis sintaksis pada kalimat pertama:

Dari tabel di atas terlihat bahwa fungsi subjek pada kalimat pertama mengalami pelesapan. Subjek yang dilesapkan adalah fungsi subjek ho (kamu) yang berkategori nominal dan mempunyai peran sebagai pelaku, sehingga kalimat diatas dapat diubah menjadi langdong hondoron ho gumba (kamu jangan memagar kesumba).

Sampiran dan Isi Umpasa

Sampiran dan isi pada umpasa memiliki hubungan. Jika dilihat secara sepintas sampiran dan isi tidak ada hubungan, tetapi kalau dirasakan antara kedua-duanya ada perhubungan. Perhubungan yang terdapat didalamnya suatu perhubungan gaib, suatu perhubungan batin. Seandainya tidak ada tidak perlu diperlukan sampiran di dalam umpasa. Lagipula dengan mengucapkan sampiran saja, orang lain sudah mengerti akan maksudnya (Tarigan, 1980:21).

Umpasa pernikahan I ini terdiri atas empat larik. Larik pertama dan kedua sebagai sampiran, larik ketiga dan keempat sebagai isi. Dari keseluruhan larik, pertama-tama penulis akan menganalisis pada tataran formula sintaksis, terutama untuk lebih mengangkat aspek fungsi, kategori dan peran komponen-komponen teks umpasa pernikahan I tersebut.

Formula Sintaksis (Analisis Struktur)

Sebelum menganalisis formula sintaksis pada umpasa pernikahan tersebut, perlu diketahui bahwa struktur bahasa Indonesia dengan bahasa Simalungun memiliki perbedaan. Struktur bahasa Indonesia adalah SPOK, sedangkan dalam bahasa Simalungun ditemukan pola kalimat PSOK. Hal tersebut terlihat pada kalimat bahasa Indonesia berikut.

Ibu pergi ke pasar.

Kata ibu memiliki fungsi sebagai subjek, pergi memiliki fungsi sebagai predikat, sedangkan ke pasar memiliki fungsi sebagai keterangan. Struktur kalimat tersebut adalah SPK. Sedangkan Dalam bahasa Simalungun, sebagai berikut.

Lao inang hu tiga.

Kata lao (Pergi) memiliki fungsi sebagai predikat, Inang (ibu) berfungsi sebagi subjek, sedangkan hu tiga (pasar) memiliki fungsi sebagai keterangan. Struktur kalimat tersebut menjadi PSK.

Analisis Umpasa Pernikahan I

Teks yang dianalisis merupakan teks umpasa pernikahan Simalungun yang diperoleh dari Desa Sigodang, Kecamatan Panei Tongah, Kabupaten Simalungun, Sumatra Utara. Umpasa yang dianalisis terdiri atas tiga umpasa pernikahan, yaitu umpasa pernikahan I, umpasa pernikahan II, dan umpasa pernikahan III. Semua umpasa tersebut menggunakan bahasa Simalungun.
